The Party’s over! We’re like “Greece on Steroids”

January 30, 2013 in 2012 Election, Abuse of Power, America's Collapse, Benghazi Gate, Constitution, Economic Deception, Economy, Liars, Liberty in Jeopardy, Political Deception, President Obama, The Grand Deception, Who Is Barack Hussein Obama?

Our Economy contracted -0.1% in the Last Quarter and the lamestream media is either yawning or rationalizing that there is no reason for panic or alarm! They excuse our precipitous GDP downturn even though the Barack Hussein Obama Administration injected enormous amounts of (borrowed) stimulus   money into the quarter to bolster his election campaign.

According to a Money News article yesterday, Controversial Interview Exposes 5 Signs Stocks Will Collapse in 2013 The Obama Campaign was accused of dirty tricks for banning a video that portrayed our economy in a negative light.

“After putting $803,436 in Obama’s re-election campaign, a media giant attempted to keep Americans from seeing the video by banning it from their sites,” stated Aaron DeHoog, the financial publisher who is unapologetic for the release of controversial footage that has gained international attention.

The Obama Campaign outright LIED to us as this October 26 report will show:

“While we have more work to do, today’s GDP growth report, showing the 13th straight quarter of growth, is more evidence that our economy continues to come back from the worst recession since the Great Depression under President Obama’s leadership,” Obama campaign spokesman Adam Fetcher said in a statement.

Meanwhile the Middle and Upper Class along with businesses face even a greater economic challenge this quarter with Federal State and Local government’s out of control spending and the piling on of new taxes to confiscate even more of our treasure so as to  replenish their constituency’s  depleted political campaign coffers.

Meanwhile, “We the People” get the funny end of the lollipop stuck to us. Can we believe anything that this Administration says about our Economy, about the Fiscal Cliff, about the Debt Ceiling, about our Military, about Benghazi, about Terrorism, about National Security, about, Israel, about Gun Control, about the Environment, about Global Warming, about Illegal Immigration, about redistribution of Wealth, about Iran’s Nuclear Threat, about UN Treaties  …?

You be the Judge.

NEGATIVE GROWTH: ECONOMY TANKS IN FOURTH QUARTER

Yesterday, Breitbart News reported that consumer confidencehad dropped to its lowest level in almost two years. Much of the media spun the number as the result of a payroll tax increase that hit millions who were repeatedly told by Obama that only the rich would see their taxes increase. Surprise! But the spin didn’t explain why consumer confidence had steadily dropped during the months prior. Well, now we know: The American economy has taken a nosedive.

For the first time in over three years, the U.S. Gross Domestic Product shrank. Between October and December of 2012, the GDP had a negative growth of 0.1. And let’s remember that this is the same quarter where we saw the media go into hyper-drive to spin Obama’s anemic job and GDP growth into a repeat of the Roaring Twenties.

The problem with the American economy is that Obama and his media can’t fool it. Happy talk and spin and distractions about contraception don’t create jobs or growth. You might be able to fool legions of people into voting a certain way, but you can’t fool them into spending and hiring and investing.

Apparently, though, the media and Obama have managed to fool themselves. Even theWall Street Journal calls today’s news “unexpected.” And anyone who watched Obama’s Inauguration speech knows that his failed economy and the millions suffering in it are either not on his radar or of no concern whatsoever. Obama spoke of many things, but not the economy. He’s in a war to win the culture, not to win anyone a job to lift them out of poverty.

The media is just as bad. The biggest story in our country today should be the increase in poverty and an unemployment crisis so dire our labor force has shrunk to thirty-year lows. But neither will speak of it. We do, however, know all about some idiot and his phony girlfriend. We know all about a “heckle” that didn’t happen. One wonders which is the bread and which is the circus.

The pickle both Obama and the media have put themselves in, though, is this: If either makes the economy a priority, that’s an admission Obama’s economy is in trouble. And so we find ourselves in a situation we’ve seen in other countries where the state and media have aligned — a situation where we’re told a bad economy is a good economy, and the victims of this propaganda are those suffering in a bad economy no one wants to admit exists.

Already the media’s spinning this GDP report in a way that says our economy tanked because the government didn’t spend enough. That’s right, annual trillion dollar deficits for as far as the eye can see, but the media push to protect the State from blame and to use this terrible news as a way to further grow the State, is already on.

NBC’s Chief White House Correspondent, Chuck Todd, just assured America this was a one-time economic anomaly and that prosperity is right around the corner. If a job had been created every time a member of Obama’s media said this, we’d have full employment today.

We live in interesting and dangerous times.

Mitt The Mild: Jobs, Jobs, Jobs, And Deficits, Deficits, Deficits, Lose, Lose, Lose

November 12, 2012 in 2012 Election, Don Feder, Mitt Romney, Politics, President Obama

By Don Feder

How do you blow an election when your opponent presided over the worst economy in memory – unemployment has hovered at 8% for almost four years; the price of gas has doubled; the national debt has grown by a third; long-term unemployment is up 87%; the number of Americans in poverty increased by 6.4 million; and the president’s signature initiative (Obamacare) has been consistently opposed by a majority of Americans since it passed two and a half years ago?

How do you lose an election to an incumbent whose foreign policy consists of cringing, kowtowing and abject apologies a foreign policy defined by the body of an American ambassador being dragged through the streets of a Third World sinkhole?

How do you manage to screw up a presidential campaign two years after your party sweeps into power in the House of Representatives with the largest majority in over 60 years and takes most of the swing-state governorships? How do you engineer such a catastrophe with one of the greatest populist movements in American history the Tea Parties at your back?

Every time conservatives let the Republican establishment pick our presidential candidate, we lose: Gerald Ford in 1976, George H.W. Bush in 1992, Dole in 1996 and McCain in 2008.

The GOP elite believes it has a God-given right to bestow the party’s presidential nomination as it thinks best, while the role of the conservative activist base is to respectfully touch our forelocks and fall in line. It favors candidates who are committed to being non-controversial, who live in abject fear of offending the mushy middle, who confine disagreements with their opponents to economic issues and me-too furiously elsewhere. The results are predictable. The result is Mitt Romney.

Governor Romney is a decent man, a patriot with a nice family who knows how to create jobs. As a candidate, he was unimaginative, uninspiring and pathetically adverse to taking risks.

Romney resolutely refused to talk about anything but the economy. At its convention, the GOP nodded respectfully toward God and said nice things about life and marriage in its platform.

But when the campaign began in earnest after Labor Day, it was all jobs, jobs, jobs, deficits, deficits and deficits. (The high cost of energy got an honorable mention.) Romney was maniacal about staying on message. When Benghazi exploded in the president’s face, the Romney camp outsourced the issue to talk radio. That’s not leadership.

Incredibly, exit polls showed more voters trusted Obama to handle a foreign crisis than Romney (by 57% to 50%). That’s what comes from the GOP nominee’s refusal to speak frankly about the fiasco.

During the much-hyped Arab Spring, Obama helped turn Egypt over to the Muslim Brotherhood. He gave Libya a government that was either unable or unwilling to control al-Qaeda clones, which Moammar Gadhafi (who must be grinning in hell) did quite effectively.

During the siege of our Benghazi consulate, the White House dithered for seven crucial hours (when the lives of four Americans could have been saved by modest military intervention) for fear of offending the Muslim street — the lodestar of Obama’s foreign policy. The father of one of the dead former Navy SEALs all but accused the president of killing his son.

The administration lied about the nature of the attack for two weeks. Romney could have said: How can you trust a man who misled the American people about what caused a foreign policy disaster which sends a signal of American impotence to our enemies?” But his campaign was terrified of going off-message and fearful of projecting its candidate as a warmonger, so it said as little as possible. It was a thousand times worse than McCain giving Obama a pass on Jeremiah Wright in 2008.

Mitt the Mild thought he could coast to victory by inspiring confidence, by smiling a lot and sounding presidential about nothing in particular.

Even the discussion of Obama’s record of economic carnage was in muted tones: Not, this out-of-control ideologue is killing the middle class and destroying our future, but, oh dear me, we just can’t afford four more years. Never send a RINO to do a conservative’s job.

Have you noticed how the media blather about negative campaigning was conspicuously absent this year? That’s because the negativity came exclusively from their candidate.

Obama successfully tagged his opponent as a corporate-raider, down-sizer, outsourcer and health-insurance-snatcher, who ate widows and orphans for breakfast on Christmas Day.

The meme was multi-millionaire Mitt wants tax cuts for the rich. Mitt disdains the middle class. Mitt’s a liar. Mitt wants to let his Big Oil buddies destroy the environment to reap obscene profits. Mitt would deny women contraceptives and then force them to have their rapist’s child.

Instead of talking about Obama’s radical ties (Wright, Ayers, Occupy Wall Street, Van Jones) and his illegal amnesty for illegal aliens (or his assault on the Constitution generally), instead of exposing his war on Christianity combined with his breathless love affair with Islam, it was: Don’t you know we can’t afford four more years? Obama tossed red meat to his base. Romney dangled a balance sheet.

Smart candidates in a tight race go negative because it works. Fear and anger (Voting is the best revenge) always trump sweetness and light. Obama figured that out early on. Romney is still staring vacantly into space waiting for light to dawn on Marblehead.

Much has been said about changing demographics. This usually relates to the browning of America  – the shrinking white majority combined with a rising minority population.

That’s only part of the picture. More than in any past campaign, this election reflects the left’s success in re-creating America in its image: a nation more single and secular than ever before a nation whose symbol is a hand raised palm up.

Family and faith (the bedrock of conservative votes) are eroding. The gender gap is more of a single-women gap. In 2008, John McCain, nobody’s idea of a hot date, won married women by 3 points, while Obama won their unmarried counterparts by 41 points.

Married women, especially those with children (where Republicans really clean up), are thinking about the future in a serious way how to make ends meet, save for the kids education, plan for retirement.

Single women are concerned primarily about the government’s ability to help with the consequences of their inability to keep their legs closed.

For decades, the left promoted singleness by encouraging easy divorce, welfare policies that made government daddy, and loosening sexual restraints.

They’ve also turned single women into the newest victim group by cultivating resentment. Spurred by the religious right, Republicans are coming to take away your reproductive rights, the left warns. Destruction of the economy is a small price to pay for the freedom to eliminate those pesky products of conception. The Democrats are selling not liberty but license. Single women fell for it like chicks swooning when Magic Mike struts on stage.

Two decades ago, Billy Graham’s virtual endorsement of Romney, in full-page ads, would have been a quite a coup. This year, even if the Romney campaign had chosen to capitalize on it, the impact would have been far less pronounced.

In 1990, 8% of Americans said they had no religious identity or affiliation. By 2012, that number had grown to 19.6% (including fully a third of adults under 30). By portraying the devout as sexually repressed bigots, fanatics and anti-science zealots, the left (through its legions in the news and entertainment media) has grown this demographic.

While Republican candidates always get the lion’s share of regular churchgoers, according to pre-election polls, the unaffiliated were breaking for Obama over Romney by 65% to 27%. This is another constituency the left has both helped to create and assiduously courts. Under Obama, for the first time, a delegation of atheists and agnostics was welcomed to the White House.

While Romney’s 47% comment was inaccurate (retirees on Social Security aren’t the same as AFDC recipients), in many ways, America has become Gimme Nation a people in relentless pursuit of stuff provided at the taxpayers’ expense. De Tocqueville forecast the end of democracy in America when a majority learned they could vote themselves benefits from the Treasury.

The number on food-stamps has grown from 17 million in 2000 to 30 million in 2008 to 46 million today, with one in seven Americans now dining at Chez Taxpayers. The regime even had local USDA offices throw parties to promote participation.

Perhaps 40% of the nation is hardcore entitlement addicts. We believe we’re entitled to have someone else buy our groceries, pay for our health care, give us college loans that never have to be repaid, and help us buy houses we can’t afford. I’m surprised there’s no Federal Plasma TV Assistance Program.

Obama knows how to work this sense of entitlement: The rich aren’t playing by the same rules as they rest of us. They just have to pay a little more so you can have your stuff. Entrepreneurs didn’t build their businesses; we all did with wonderful roads and bridges, so we can take as much of what they have as we want.

As we move from the Greatest Generation to the Boomers to Generation X-marks-the-spot to dig for buried government treasure, the sense of entitlement grows and the sense of responsibility fades.

But it’s Romney who bears ultimate responsibility for Tuesday’s debacle. When asked how Lenin and the Bolsheviks defeated democratic socialist Alexander Kerensky, the late Ayn Rand of Atlas Shrugged” fame observed, “You can’t beat something with nothing. Exactly.

Why Scott Brown Failed To Get Re-Elected

Why Scott Brown Failed To Get Re-Elected                                                                           by: The Angelic One

Wed Nov 07, 2012 at 10:20:09 AM EST

Although a final count has yet to be made, Democrat Elizabeth Warren last night ousted Massachusetts Republican US Senator Scott Brown.
Scott’s re-election was his to lose & he proceeded to do just that.
Was it inevitable? It didn’t have to be. But the reasons for Brown’s
failure to hold on to “the people’s seat” aren’t complex & sadly
reflect a lack of vision that tragically afflicts both the man himself
& his political party.

When Brown won his seat in a special election following the death of
legendary Democrat Ted Kennedy, he had a golden opportunity to create
a new image for the Massachusetts Republican Party that reflected an
alternative strain of the Bay State’s culture. It could be a party that
represented the culture of New England – not the culture of the American
South, or the Midwest, or even the West Coast. His initial success was
due, in part, to his ability to win over independent & Old Left voters.
All he had to do was boldly articulate a practical ideology consistent
with the values/culture of Massachusetts that would transform the Bay
State & (if successful) a blueprint for reuniting the American nation.
Such an approach would revitalize the state GOP & make him a rising star
on the national scene.

Instead Brown squandered the opportunity. He cultivated an image as a
moderate that made no ideological sense once you studied his voting patterns
on certain social or economic issues. The lack of continuity generated an
impression of opportunism. After awhile he came across as somebody who tacitly
accepted the Democrat paradigm since he refused to question its foundational
assumptions. Indeed, his “bipartisan” or “moderate” approach more often than
not validated the worldview of the democrat Party. Is it no wonder that when
presented with the “real” thing in the person of Warren that voters chose the
“authentic” voice of the Democrat paradigm over the pretender Brown?
The Angelic One :: Why Scott Brown Failed To Get Re-Elected Brown
campaigned that he “was one of us” without bothering to articulate how
he would leverage his membership in this “us” group into being a successful
national/international leader. He thus came across as too small for the office
once held by the great men of Massachusetts’ past political history. He was
too small to even bother having a prominent role at his party’s national convention
(in sharp contrast to Warren who used her appearance at her party’s convention
to bolster her brand as a rising progressive star). Massachusetts voters are proud
to be at the vanguard of changing the country (& the world). They expect their
leaders to carry out their role as thought leaders & change agents. Brown never
aspired to anything beyond being a nice guy who is willing to compromise for the
good of all.

Did that attitude get him re-elected? The question answers itself. And the emphasis
of Brown’s campaign to hammer away at Warrens inconsistencies at the expense of
the good guy image he cultivated – to go “negative” – reflected a desperation
stemming from the realization that Brown had nothing to offer the public beyond
his personal charisma. To paraphrase Osama Bin Laden, he wasn’t a strong enough
horse in the eyes of the voters. There was no “there” there.

And in that regard, Brown perfectly reflected – if not personified – the consistent
shortcomings of his party. The Massachusetts Republican Party remains visionless,
bitterly disorganized, & not up to the task of governing millions of people who
will support anyone & any party – no matter how corrupt – as long as said
individuals & the party to which they belong continue to deliver a practical
ideology that offers most of them some tangible benefit to their lives.

Voter intimidation and Fraud is Again Rampant Across US

“We electors have an important constitutional power placed in our hands: we have a check upon two branches of the legislature, as each branch has upon the other two; the power I mean of electing at stated periods, one branch, which branch has the power of electing another. It becomes necessary to every subject then, to be in some degree a statesman: and to examine and judge for himself of the tendencies of political principles and measures.

After the 2008 Election, Attorney General Eric Holder ignored the the documented voter intimidation case in Philadelphia, PA. As a result, voter intimidation has returned. A review of the 2008 case follows:

“The New Black Panther Party voter intimidation case, sometimes known simply as the Black Panther Case, is a political controversy in the United States concerning an incident that occurred during the 2008 election for president in the United States. The New Black Panther Party and two of its members, Minister King Samir Shabazz and Jerry Jackson, were charged with voter intimidation for their conduct outside a polling station in Philadelphia. The Department of Justice later narrowed the charges against Minister King Shabazz and dismissed the charges against the New Black Panther Party and Jerry Jackson. The decision to dismiss the charges has led to accusations that the Department of Justice under the Obama administration is biased against white victims and unwilling to prosecute minorities for civil rights violations. These charges have been most notably made by J. Christian Adams, who in May 2010 resigned his post in the Department of Justice in protest over the Obama Administration’s perceived mishandling of the case, and by his former supervisor Christopher Coates.”

The Case for an Overwhelming Defeat of Obama and his Minions

November 5, 2012 in 2012 Election, Freedom, MA, Obama's America 2016, ObamaCare, Obamanation, Oust Obama, Political Courage, Politics, Senator Scott Brown, The Stakes for the 2012 Election, United States Constitution, United States Sovereignty

Unless we fundamentally transform our nation by electing Senators , Congressmen and a President that will work together to refocus and redirect , our society,  fiscally and morally,  our country will be headed in the same direction as our European neighbors across the pond, namely Socialism.

Additionally and most crucially this election is the most critical in generations because:

1. If re-elected Barack Hussein Obama will  continue molding our country  into a weak,  Socialist, apologetic nation while Mitt Romney will mold our country to a strong, Capitalist, trustworthy nation.

2. At least two Supreme Court Judges, who will determine the direction of our jurisprudence for several generations,  will be nominated by our next President.

3. Obamacare will not be repealed unless we have Mitt Romney in the White House and majorities in the  Senate and House. Additionally, It has become quite apparent that the changes to Medicare, resulting from Obamacare’s implementation, will be  costly for Seniors, young workers and our economic well being. Additionally, if allowed to be implemented, Obamacare  is guaranteed  to override our  fundamental God given and Constitutionally recognized Right-of- Conscience  by imposing  Anti-Religious  mandates.

4. We can no longer tolerate a Chief Executive who for his own political expediency and beliefs  pits one ethnicity against another,  the poor against the rich, the young against the old and promotes all manner of class envy.

As stated earlier, an important issues in this election is whether America will abruptly be turned toward Socialism or remain a Capitalist society. Obamacare will not only affect the elderly but “…will impose massive penalties on young workers, small businesses and others…” Thus,  Obamacare promises to not only lead us towards Socialism but also promises to further Bankrupt our already  precarious financial position and to accelerate our demise over the oft mentioned Financial Cliff

We can not allow legislation  like Obamacare,  which came to fruition by extreme Congressional misconducts like the “Cornhusker Kickback ”,  the  ”Louisiana Purchase” and a host of other covert “deals”, to  destroy our nation’s financial viability, our  Individual Liberty and our National Sovereignty.

This is our time!  The candidates that we elect will serve in office for the next two, four or six years. If we do not choose wisely, those years could be agonizing. So vet the candidates, know their core principles,  choose wisely and vote for candidates that will strengthen our Constitutionalism, our Capitalism and will reject Socialism!

Inept, Lying, Angry, and Un-American.

A few images for Democrats to ponder before they vote Tuesday.

If you haven’t been watching the news for the past 4 years – you have a lot of catching up to do.  Your Hope & Change pResident has squandered your tax dollars and your national security – and our American sovereignty. It may take us 10 years under good presidents to recover; 20 years to catch back up.

Fast and Furious. dead Border agents, and ‘Executive Privilege’.

Sky-high unemployment despite the ‘Stimulus’. Industry and business paralyzed awaiting the 2012 Election outcome because of ObamaCare.|

ZerO’s disrespect.  Obama’s feet always up on our furniture.

The open secret – Valerie Jarrett – the real president – born in Iran.

President Photo-Op – obviously a pussy – and probably gay.

Bowing to rivals, making deals with enemies, and selling out our allies.

An utter fool blowing our money on ‘green energy’ while energy costs skyrocket – ashe had promised!

Wealth re-distribution through massive borrowing and adding $6 Trillion to our National Debt!

International wealth re-distribution by stopping domestic drilling and refining – and using Billion$ to support offshore drilling in Brazil and refining in Columbia.

Angry, bitter, vengeful, and everything is Bush’s fault.

An Election Message from Glenn Beck

November 3, 2012 in 2012 Election, Glenn Beck, LAST OUNCE OF COURAGE

November 03, 2012

Hello America,

We are three days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America, again.

On Tuesday, each one of us will have the opportunity to take part in our most treasured right as Americans. We will be able to walk into that voting booth, close the curtain, and cast our ballot not just for the man who will lead us for the next four years, but also for the direction we want to take our country for the next hundred years. Will we choose to continue on the road we have been down for most of the past century, a path that has led to bigger government, more dependence, and less personal responsibility? Or is it time to turn things around and head in a direction that finds solution in individuals, faith and family?
In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, it’s easy to throw your hands up in the air and say, “Yes, we clearly need a big federal government! We need FEMA! We need President Obama to swoop in and save the day! Please, help us!” Rarely, however, is the easy thing to do the same as the right thing to do. You will receive pressure from your liberal neighbors and the mainstream media as they hammer the message of big government. They’ll try and convince you you’re selfish, racist, and hateful because you don’t believe in turning to the federal government for help. They don’t understand that we believe that individuals can and will be the people on the ground leading the way in helping our friends and neighbors.

Just look at some of the stories coming out in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy to see where the progressive mentality leads us. In New York City, the Heath Department shut down a Chinese restaurant that was trying to feed people without food or electricity. Devastated areas like Staten Island and Coney Island are ignored by the Red Cross. Utility workers all the way from Alabama are turned away because they aren’t members of a union. In the height of insanity, Mayor Bloomberg was encouraging the New York Marathon to run as planned tomorrow while many areas are still without power and available resources decline. It was only after days of public pressure that he finally changed his mind.

President Obama says that we need to move forward. They say that we need to keep making progress. That government will be the key to turning around the economy. The truth is that we cannot continue down this path. But we know of a different way.

Politicians on both sides of the aisle believe they can make a better decision than you. And that is going to stop.  Because progress was not made by politicians. Real progress is made by the average people. As the radio theme song says — YOU will be the key.

We must begin a new chapter of American exceptionalism. A new century of American exploration and discovery. We won’t get it from one political party. One politician. One dreamer. We will get it when we rely on ourselves. On the facts. On the truth. And most importantly when we rely on God.

I know we face difficult choices. So do you. America is in trouble financially, people have gone astray, we have a weak economy, a weak dollar. We have put our troops in harm’s way too many times, on missions that don’t always make sense. And despite our military power, we are not feared, not respected, and not honored.

But you know what? I’m not afraid. And neither are you.

On Tuesday, I want you to go to the polls and vote for the principles and values that represent the America that you want to live in. One where small business drives the engine of America. One where success is celebrated, not vilified. One where faith and family shape the choices we make in our daily lives. One where people understand personal responsibility, and neighbors help their neighbors in times of crisis.

Even more importantly, make sure that your neighbors and like-minded friends are going out and voting. Drive your schlub friend to the polls if you have to. This election must be a mandate. We need to stand together and declare what we believe in. We can’t afford another election going to the Supreme Court. There shouldn’t be a question on where our country will be headed on Wednesday morning. You need to go out and do your part.

And don’t forget, it’s not too late to make one final push. Don’t be afraid to talk to your friends and neighbors about this election. Don’t let anyone tell you you’re wrong for standing up for small government. If you’re a faith leader, don’t let the government tell you that you can’t speak about the future of our country to your congregation. This is the most crucial election of our lifetime and we all need to do whatever we can to make sure that principles and values prevail.

America must return to her glory, be strong and fight for freedom. Not just with our might. But with our ideas. Our energy. Our freedom. I declare firm reliance in divine Providence.

This is your moment. This is America’s moment. It’s time to stand up and stand together.

It’s time to restore America.

Despite a carefully narrated version of events rolled out late this week by the CIA claiming agents jumped into action as soon as they were notified of calls for help in Benghazi, security officials on the ground say calls for help went out considerably earlier — and signs of an attack were mounting even before that.   The accounts, from foreign and American security officials in and around Benghazi at the time of the attack, indicate there was in fact a significant lag between when the threat started to show itself and help started to arrive.   According to the CIA, the first calls for assistance came at 9:40 p.m. local time from a senior State Department official at the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, to the CIA annex about a mile away.   But according to multiple people on the ground that night, the Blue Mountain Security manager, who was in charge of the local force hired to guard the consulate perimeter, made calls on both two-way radios and cell phones to colleagues in Benghazi warning of problems at least an hour earlier. Those calls allegedly went to local security contractors who say that the CIA annex was also notified much earlier than 9:40 p.m. U.S. military intelligence also told Fox News that armed militia was gathering up to three hours before the attack began.   One source said the Blue Mountain Security chief seemed “distraught” and said “the situation here is very serious, we have a problem.” He also said that even without these phone and radio calls, it was clear to everyone in the security community on the ground in Benghazi much earlier than 9:40 p.m. that fighters were gathering in preparation for an attack.   Many of these security contractors and intelligence sources on the ground in Benghazi met twice a week for informal meetings at the consulate with Blue Mountain and consulate staff, and at times other international officials. They were all very familiar with security at the consulate — and said the staff seemed “complacent” and “didn’t seem to follow the normal American way of securing a facility.”   Both American and British sources say multiple roadblocks set up by fighters believed to be with Ansar al-Sharia were in place in Benghazi several hours before the 9:40 p.m. timeline and that communications also alluded to “heavily armed troops showing up with artillery.” Fox News was told by both American and British contacts who were in Benghazi that night that the CIA timeline rolled out this past week is only “loosely based on the truth” and “doesn’t quite add up.”   Fox News was also told that the local guard force meant to protect the consulate perimeter “panicked” and didn’t know what to do as the attackers took up positions. Sources say other guards simply “walked away”.      One former Special Op now employed by a private company in Benghazi said that even the safe room wasn’t properly set up. He said “the safe room is one of the first measures you take” and that he is “not sure how you can set a safe room without fire suppression and ventilation in case of fire.” He also said, “Ambassador Stevens would likely be alive today if this simple and normal procedure was put into place.”   As details emerge of serious security issues before the attack on Sept. 11, Fox News is also beginning to hear more frustration from sources both on the ground in Benghazi and in the U.S. Multiple British and American sources insist there were other capabilities in the region and are mystified why none were used. Fox News was told there were not only armed drones that monitor Libyan chemical weapon sites in the area, but also F-18’s, AC-130 aircraft and even helicopters that could have been dispatched in a timely fashion.      British intelligence sources said that unarmed drones routinely flew over Benghazi every night in flight patterns and that armed drones which fly over chemical sites, some a short flight from Benghazi, “were always said to be on call.” American sources confirmed this and questioned “why was a drone armed only with a camera dispatched?”   Another source added, “Why would they put a ragtag team together in Tripoli as first responders? This is not even what they do for a living. We had a first responder air base in Italy almost the same distance away.” Despite the team arriving from Tripoli that night, sources said sufficient American back-up never came.   British sources on the ground in Benghazi said they are extremely frustrated by the attack and are still wondering why they weren’t called for help. “We have more people on the ground here than the Americans and I just don’t know why we didn’t get the call?” one said.   Both American and British sources said, at the very least, the security situation on the ground and the lack of proper response were the result of “complete incompetence.” The covert team that came in from Tripoli was held up at the Benghazi airport for more than three hours by Libyan officials. Sources said the team notified officials in Washington that they were being delayed within 30 minutes of their arrival.   They also point out that these questions “don’t even address the military capabilities of our United Nations ally Turkey, who (has) forces available a similarly short flight away.” Fox News has learned that Turkey had a number of embassy staff in town the night of the attack and that the Turkish consul general met with Ambassador Stevens in Benghazi the night he and the three other Americans were killed.   One source asked, “Were the Turks not warned? What forces were available from our ally Turkey? Especially since they had officials there in Benghazi also and had to be concerned … and where was the U.N. in all of this?”   Fox News’ Jennifer Griffin contributed to this report
