Carr: Carlie Baker’s baying like a moonbat

Deval’s ‘twin’ on immigration

By:

Howie Carr

It’s time for Charlie Baker to make up his mind whose side he’s on.

The law-abiding taxpaying U.S. citizens, or the hordes of freeloading illegal aliens swarming across the Rio Grande.

The dithering GOP front-runner put his foot in his mouth again this week, at a debate where he was asked which current Republican politician is his role model.

Charlie’s brain froze up. Oh dear God, they would insist on a Republican. What a conundrum for a Harvard man, being asked to name a good Republican. First there was dead silence, then finally Charlie asked if he could pick Ronald Reagan. No, he was told, Dutch is dead. More silence. Finally he blurted out:

“Jeb Bush.”

Jeb Bush! Another Republican with an asterisk — a RINO. Jeb Bush has only said one memorable thing in his whole career, and that was when he said illegal immigration is “an act of love.”

A love of welfare, certainly.

Baker’s latest faux pas comes just a month after the Obama administration tried to dump hundreds if not thousands of undocumented Democrats on the commonwealth. Gov. Deval Patrick had invited them in — after all, the state only spends $1.8 billion a year on welfare for illegal aliens, so what’s another few hundred million per annum ad infinitum?

The elected officials in the communities that were going to be devastated by this influx of thousands of new Tsarnaevs raised holy hell. But Charlie Baker backed Deval, his fellow Harvard grad.

“I think it’s incumbent on the states to be cooperative with the federal government on this issue,” he said on July 21, “given the humanitarian crisis that’s at hand.”

Charlie, how about the humanitarian crisis facing the U.S. population, being forced to take in millions of disease-ridden, non-English-speaking, unskilled non-workers and having to support them forever? Whatever happened to charity begins at home? This is not their home, Charlie, it’s ours. How about that humanitarian crisis, Charlie?

“I think it’s important,” Charlie continued, “for the federal government to be very specific with the commonwealth about exactly how it’s going to work.”

Here’s how it’s going to work. We Americans will work, and they won’t. We’ll support ourselves, and we’ll support them.

Now, we know how Democrats feel about this — they’re hot to trot to import a new welfare-dependent underclass, to keep themselves in power. They’ve gone from being the party of the working class to being the party of the non-working class.

The other night on WBZ, Democrat candidate Don Berwick was asked if he’d ever heard of Matthew Denice, the Milford motorcyclist run down and killed by a drunken illegal. Berwick had no idea who this U.S. citizen victim was, and when he was told, this moonbat’s moonbat didn’t seem to care.

“You can pick anecdotes to make any point,” Berwick sniffed.

There you have it. Illegal alien wants handout — humanitarian crisis. American killed by drunk illegal alien on welfare — an anecdote.

Charlie, listen to me. You can’t get elected by trying to out-moonbat the moonbats. To paraphrase Harry S Truman, if you give voters a choice between a Democrat and a Democrat, they’ll pick the Democrat every time.

On St. Patrick’s Day at Halitosis Hall, Deval Patrick made a joke: “It turns out that Charlie Baker and I are identical twins.”

It also turns out, Deval wasn’t kidding.

See Howie tomorrow at Tina’s Delicious Ice Cream in Falmouth from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.

The following Roll Call vote took place in spite of the fact that House members were not provided copies to peruse before the vote, even if they requested it. 87  Republican Traitors voted Yea! The means by which this legislation was moved and passed gives new meaning to the word “Treachery”.  The House voted to give Republican Mitch McConnell his $2 Billion Earmark and  voted a  stipend of $174K of our treasure was to  Millionairess Senator Frank  Lautenberg of NJ’s  widow in this purported “Clean CR”. Now that it has passed  we will have a  chance in the weeks aheadto review the entire bill and we will surely find other treacheries like a trick-provision that was added that will require a 2/3 vote  to stop the next Debt Limit increase. This morning the Wall Street Journal in an article by Laura Meckler, Business Voices Frustration With GOP, writes that “In interviews with representatives of companies large and small executives predicted a change in how business would approach politics. They didn’t foresee a new alignment with Democrats but forecast backing challengers to tea-party conservatives in GOP primaries…”

This is just the beginning of a planned blitz creed against Tea Party   Conservatives by the Establishment and their Progressive allies.  We are now joined in a battle,  not only a fight for Conservative values, but for the Survival of our Constitutional Democracy.

As Jeff Kuhner of WRKO in Boston recently stated, America has now become a functional “Dictatorship” under the tutelage  of our “Dear Leader” Barrack Hussein Obama.

And

Lastly, the Wall Street journal today had another front page headline, More Illegal Immigrants As for Asylum, thereby joining   next skirmish in our battle to save our American Way of Life.

Had enough yet?

Barack Obama’ war on America; Criminal Illegal Aliens Being Released Into Our Communities

February 27, 2013 in Abuse of Power, Accountability, Amnesty, Illegal Aliens, Our Dear Leader, Political Incompetence, President Obama, Sequestration, Socialist, Treason

Barack Obama’ war on America

Posted by  Judson Phillips  on February 27, 2013 at 6:22am in Tea Party Nation Forum

Criminal ReleaseBarack Obama and the Party of Treason hate America.   It is no longer a policy difference.  With Obama and the far-left shills for the Democrats, it has never been about policy.   They do not want to debate issues and let the best idea win.  They want to defeat anyone who disagrees with them at all costs.

Now the Obama Regime is showing its total contempt and hatred for those who disagree with it.

How are they doing this?

In advance of the Budget Sequestration that is set to start on March 1st, the Obama Regime is releasing illegal aliens into American communities.

The sequestration has not even hit yet and the Obama Regime is trying to hurt Americans

The illegal aliens being released are not simply illegal aliens, but these are criminal illegal aliens.    These are illegal aliens who have been charged or convicted of criminal offenses.  Usually it is more than one.

Instead of deporting these criminal aliens, the Department of Homeland Security is literally turning them out of the prisons.    Where is most of this happening?

Arizona.

That is no accident.

Arizona is a red state.  Arizona dared to defy Barack Obama and even took him to the Supreme Court and won.

Over the weekend, in Pinal County, Arizona, DHS released hundreds of criminal illegal aliens.  They did not even notify the local sheriff they were releasing these criminals.

The Obama Regime claims they must do this because of the upcoming budget sequester.

The sequester is not causing the release but the Obama Regime is desperate to create a crisis.

Why?

What happens if the modest 2% cut in spending goes through?

Probably nothing.  Most Americans will not see any change.

That is the great fear of the Obama Regime.

If the world does not end with this modest spending cut, then the Republicans and the American people will start asking, what else can we cut.  Where else can we cut?

For Barack Obama who is determined to bankrupt America before the end of his second term, this is unacceptable.

So Barack Obama is releasing criminal illegal aliens onto the streets of at least one red state.

How many people will die because Obama is releasing criminal illegal aliens?  How many people will be injured?   How many crimes will be committed?

Obama doesn’t care.  Arizona is a red state.

He doesn’t care because for Obama, the ends justify the means.   Obama does not care that he took an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution because the Constitution means nothing to him.    Obama does not care because he hates America and Americans.

Instead of being responsible, Barack Obama is trying to make the spending cuts as painful as possible.  Instead of stopping a few of those crony grants to “green energy” projects, he is keeping the Navy tied up in port.  Instead of cutting advertising to promote food stamps, he is releasing criminals on the streets to rampage and make the people of America pay for daring to elect Republicans to try and stop him.

Barack Obama is hell bent on destroying America.  Americans will die because of his desire to punish those who disagree with him.

The question is will the Republicans in Washington ever stand up to him?

In the Throes of Anarchy – Obama’s Union-Controlled NLRB Thumbs Nose At Court Ruling

January 28, 2013 in "Bill of Rights", 2nd Amendment, America's Collapse, Amnesty, Anarchy, Constitution, Freedom, Obamanation, Political Courage, Political Deception, President Obama, The Grand Deception, US Military

“Time and again President Obama has chosen to govern through executive fiat, and today a federal court has taken action to help rein in this abuse of power. The Obama labor board must cease all activity until qualified nominees have been constitutionally appointed to the board. Any attempt to continue this battle in federal court will only prolong the uncertainty the president’s unilateral action has created for America’s workers and job creators.”

The  above statement released  by U.S. House Committee on Education and the Workforce Chairman John Kline (R-MN) and Subcommittee on Health, Employment, Labor, and Pensions Chairman Phil Roe (R-TN) and the following is but just another example of how  the Barack Hussein Obama Administration is placing OUR Constitution  and our Natural Rights under SIEGE.

The  2012 National Defense Authorization Act now  allows the military to detain without a trial any American Citizen accused of being a terrorist, or of supporting terrorists who plot attacks against the United States. Just imagine  how this provision could be used against the Tea Party, for example, who have been deemed “Terrorists” by the Southern Poverty Law Center. In the following video, a prominent director with the Southern Poverty Law Center speaking to a group of university students, stated in October 2012 that  parts of the Tea Party group are “filled with racists.”

The Obama Administration is implementing  a program of incremental  disembowelment of our Constitution and especially our Bill of Rights.  His attacks are not limited to our Constitution and our Bill of Rights. Barack Hussein Obama has now instituted a new litmus test for our Military’s Top Brass:

“Will You Fire on American Citizens?”

Obama’s incremental disembowelment and  usurpations of power  will continue until  “We the People” develop the Political Will and Political Courage to seize back our Constitution and our Country.

Obama’s Union-Controlled NLRB Thumbs Nose At Court Ruling, Chairman Vows To March Onward

By: LaborUnionReport (Diary)  |  January 25th, 2013 at 09:15 PM  |

NLRB-picketing
Following Friday morning’s appeals court ruling that Barack Obama’s “recess” appointments to the National Labor Relations Board were unconstitutional, union attorney (and current NLRB chairman) Mark Gaston Pearce vowed to ignore the court’s ruling.

In a statement posted on the NLRB’s website, Pearce stated:

“The Board respectfully disagrees with today’s decision and believes that the President’s position in the matter will ultimately be upheld. It should be noted that this order applies to only one specific case, Noel Canning, and that similar questions have been raised in more than a dozen cases pending in other courts of appeals.

In the meantime, the Board has important work to do. The parties who come to us seek and expect careful consideration and resolution of their cases, and for that reason, we will continue to perform our statutory duties and issue decisions.”

“The parties who come to us seek and expect careful consideration and resolution of their cases…”

Wait. What?!?

Mr. Pearce must be referring to union bosses ‘expecting careful consideration’ with his statement, because he surely couldn’t mean employers expect careful consideration before the union-controlled NLRB.

Heck, the vast majority of employers already know they face not much more than a kangaroo court with the NLRB.

That’s the reason so many employers are having to appeal their cases to the circuit courts these days.

Amnesty Coming Your Way?

January 25, 2013 in Amnesty, Debt Crisis, Economy, Illegal Aliens, Redistribution of Wealth, Welfare, Welfare Fraud

illegal-alien-amnestySenator Marco Rubio in an interview with Greta Van Susteren on Fox talked about his plan for “Undocumented  Immigrants.”

Even our so called  rising star Republican political class can’t help but use the same political speak of the Progressive Left, who seek to legitimatize criminal  behavior. According to Title  8 Section Section 1325 of the  US Code of Federal Regulations:

“Improper Entry by Alien,” any citizen of any country other than the United States who:

  • Enters or attempts to enter the United States at any time or place other than as designated by immigration officers; or
  • Eludes examination or inspection by immigration officers; or
  • Attempts to enter or obtains entry to the United States by a willfully false or misleading representation or the willful concealment of a material fact;
  • has committed a federal crime.”

Further, one has to question the political motives of Senator Rubio. After all, a similar  Amnesty law to that proposed by Rubio et al, the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 (IRCA) was signed into law by President Reagan on November 6, 1986 who  called it,  “the most comprehensive reform of our immigration laws since 1952.”.

IRCA:

  • required employers to attest to their employees’ immigration status.
  • made it illegal to knowingly hire or recruit unauthorized immigrants.
  • legalized certain seasonal agricultural illegal immigrants.
  • legalized illegal immigrants who entered the United States before January 1, 1982 and had resided there continuously with the penalty of a fine, back taxes due, and admission of guilt. About three million illegal immigrants were granted legal status.

The law  turned out to be a complete and utter failure  when you consider that, it did nothing to stem the flow of Illegal Immigration. It  is estimated that we now have 4  to 6 times  the 1986  illegal Alien population,  residing in  the United States when IRCA became law.  Thus Senator Marco Rubio follows  in the footsteps of his political elite  predecessors and ignores George Santayana admonition that, “Those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”

” There is much talk about the need for “comprehensive immigration reform”. With that in mind it would be useful to review what we as a nation learned, or should have learned, from our last big experiment in the field, the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 (IRCA).” (Ref: Center for Immigration Studies Article January 2013)

In MA alone 17,000 EBT card holders were unable to be identified in 2012. What percentage of these lost EBT cardholders are  illegal Aliens? What about the fraud perpetrated  by Illegal Aliens that are on Welfare, on Medicare and perpetrate felonious. Criminals that are stealing our hard earned treasure at a time when America faces debt crises after debt crisis and at at a time when every level of government can barely manage to provide care for its legal citizenry. The effect of Amnesty on our economy at this time would be nothing short of devestating.

Doesn’t Senator Rubio understand that the end game for illegal Aliens is a quid pro quo relationship, wherein the Democrat Party keeps them as a permanent government dependent underclass in return for their votes and political support. If Amnesty were to passe, these  Illegal Aliens would then become a permanent dependent American underclass. These demographic trends have been causing dramatic political changes in our Southwestern states and if Amnesty were to be passed, this trend will befall our state as well.

Rubio Finds Support on the Right for Immigration Plan

By Scott Conroy  – January 22, 2013

With leaders from both parties calling on Congress to take up immigration reform this year, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio has been meeting with news outlets and conservative opinion-shapers to lay out his vision for a plan that would offer temporary legal status to undocumented immigrants. Those applying would have to pass background checks and other tests designed to eventually lead from permanent residency to citizenship.

Though he has not yet introduced legislation, in trumpeting his sweeping proposals Rubio has seized a torch that in recent years burned several similarly ambitious Republican politicians. But in a sign of how quickly the parameters of the debate on this issue have shifted since President Obama’s re-election, prominent conservatives — many of whom were vocal in their opposition to previous similar plans — have been lavishing praise on Rubio’s ideas for reform.

On his nationally syndicated radio show, Sean Hannity said that Rubio’s plan was “probably the most thoughtful bill that I have heard heretofore,” while Fox News colleague Bill O’Reilly called the program “a good one.” Other purveyors of conservative thought, from Grover Norquist to Ralph Reed to David Brody, have also weighed in with positive reactions.

The most important seal of approval thus far may have come from Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan, who had until recently been tied to 2012 running mate Mitt Romney’s policy of opposing “amnesty” for illegal immigrants (whom Romney had suggested could be encouraged to “self-deport”).

But Ryan has made clear that he, too, is ready to pivot on the issue.

“Senator Rubio is exactly right on the need to fix our broken immigration system,” Ryan wrote last week in a post on his Facebook page. “I support the principles he’s outlined: modernization of our immigration laws; stronger security to curb illegal immigration; and respect for the rule of law in addressing the complex challenge of the undocumented population. Our future depends on an immigration system that works.”

Rubio spent much of the first half of last year trying to drum up support for his plan to offer visas to the children of illegal immigrants who have served in the military or attended college — an alternative to the Democratic-backed DREAM Act. But when the president issued an executive order that achieved similar ends, Rubio criticized him for having sidestepped Congress.

Since Obama’s re-election, which came with the support of more than 70 percent of Hispanic voters, Rubio’s team has been heartened by the stark sea change they have seen on the issue.

“Overall, the reaction’s been really positive, and there really hasn’t been any significant opposition to it,” Rubio spokesperson Alex Conant said of the senator’s plan. “People have made good points about the proposals, and we welcome a healthy debate. This isn’t something [where] the senator just woke up one morning and decided to do. He’s been thinking about these issues for years now.”

Rubio’s goal is to pass immigration legislation this year, and the political implications for the rising GOP star could be long-lasting. The first-term senator is widely expected to run for president in 2016. If he does, his first political hurdle to overcome would likely be in Iowa, where conservative hardliners on illegal immigration have long held sway.

In the 2008 nominating fight, John McCain’s efforts to promote comprehensive immigration reform were perhaps his greatest challenge in Iowa — where he finished a distant fourth in that year’s caucuses. He was able to recover and win the Republican nomination, but immigration became an unshakeable albatross for a more recent GOP White House hopeful.

When Texas Gov. Rick Perry suggested in a primary debate that people who disagreed with a Texas law offering in-state tuition rates to children of illegal immigrants “don’t have a heart,” the resulting criticism from conservatives grew into a firestorm in the Hawkeye State. Perry’s opponents and right-leaning activists hammered him for the comment, which he was forced to spend precious time on the stump trying to explain away.

But Republican consultant Bob Haus, who helped run Perry’s Iowa campaign, predicted that Rubio’s efforts on immigration reform would not sting him in a similar manner, if he does run in 2016.

“There are now more Republican leaders who are working to craft sensible, workable solutions than trying to simply derail everything,” Haus said. “These leaders are changing the debate. Republicans aren’t just against everything related to immigration. Now they’re for something. That signals a paradigm shift, and it will be a good one for the Republican Party.”

Despite those shifting sentiments on the right, however, there will no doubt be more than a few influential Republican voices in Iowa who remain resistant to Rubio’s proposals. Steve Deace, an influential conservative radio host in the nation’s first voting state, made clear on Twitter last week that he had no intention of getting behind Rubio’s plan.

“Strangely I am not reassured by Bill O’Reilly’s endorsement of Marco Rubio’s amnesty..err..immigration plan,” Deace tweeted.

During the 2012 primaries, Romney largely succeeded in his efforts to stake out a position to the right of his Republican opponents on the issue. But his short-term political gain became a Pyrrhic victory when the general election came around and the Obama campaign was able to paint him as an extremist on the issue.

Some former members of Romney’s team are among those taking that lesson to heart, seeing Rubio’s efforts as both politically savvy and a near necessity for the GOP’s future.

David Kochel, who helmed Romney’s near-victory in the 2012 Iowa caucuses, suggested that Rubio and other Republicans with their eye on the White House are wise to demonstrate a willingness to be a part of the solution to a difficult challenge.

“I think there will always be some folks in the conservative entertainment industry who will bang away at Republicans who want to work on immigration,” Kochel said. “But it’s a real problem, and not just a party problem. Time to look it in the eye and solve it. We can do it without compromising our principles.”

Mitch McConnell Agrees to a Back Room Deal that Grants Barack Hussein Obama a Stranglehold on the Senate

SOS

Mitch McConnell and the Republican Party have once again capitulated to the Progressive Left for their own  aggrandizement. A capitulation that will facilitate  Barry’s Chicago Gangster appointments  to our courts and to facilitate his UN  Treaty Agenda and to finally pass Illegal Alien Amnesty.

Yesterday, Republican Speaker John Boehner capitulated on the Debt Ceiling increase  just  after his Senate colleagues with few exceptions ” Beautified”  our incompetent and complicit murder of 4 Americans, Secretary of Deceit Hillary Clinton. And yes the House with too few exceptions, not to be outdone, continued the “Adoration”  of this unspeakable wretch!

It’s Time to start considering formation of a 3d Party before it’s too late!

By:Daniel Horowitz |  January 24th, 2013 at 03:02 PM  |

Harry Reid and Mitch McConnell have reached a final deal to limit the filibuster, block individual members from offering amendments, and eliminate the ability of back benchers to block conference committees.  The end result will be less power for individual senators and more power for Reid to parachute in unsavory policies into must-pass bills with little recourse to stop them.

You’re going to hear garrulous claims about the need to unfreeze the Senate from its state of gridlock over the next few days.  You’re going to see a lot of reports about Reid caving on his plans to stop the out of control Republican filibusters.  But none of the media reports will provide the proper context for this debate.  Republicans are not the ones who have shut down the Senate, and the Reid/McConnell plan is not a capitulation from Reid.  It rewards him for his bad behavior, and is not something we should support.

The Senate was deliberately structured to slow down bills.  Much to the consternation of the modern day liberal, the Founders actually did not want government to do too many things.  Unlike in the House where the Rules Committee controls the entire floor debate on behalf of the majority party, the Senate vests each individual senator – both from the majority and minority – the right to offer amendments to any bill.  Harry Reid has vitiated that practice by blocking the amendment process on every bill, in order to shield his members from embarrassing votes.

He has also brought up a number of bills that have not even gone through the committee process.  He proceeds to file cloture immediately on a major controversial bill that has not gone through regular order.  In that sense, it’s not that Republicans are automatically filibustering the motion to proceed on every bill that comes up through regular order; it’s that Reid is preemptively filing cloture as a means of bringing up legislation like the House.  To that end, the only recourse for Republicans was to filibuster the motion to proceed with debate, as a means of forcing him to allow amendments to go through.

According to my sources in the Senate, this is how Reid plans to proceed.  He is splitting up his four reforms into two resolutions; one requiring 60 votes to pass and the other 67 votes.

First, he will offer a rules change that would need 60 votes to get over a filibuster of the rules change because it has been drafted up as a “standing order.”  The Senate’s rules can be changed with a simple majority, yet to shut down debate on a rules change itself the Senate would need 67 votes.  With a standing order, you only need 60 votes to shut off a filibuster because it only applies for this Congress or the next two years.  So with 55 Democrats in place Reid only needs 5 Republicans to support his filibuster “reforms.”

The first resolution would provide two options to expedite the motion to proceed.  The first option would allow Senator Reid to file cloture shortly after filing a bill.  It would also eliminate the 30 hours of post cloture debate (often 4-5 full days in the Senate) on the motion to proceed.  The kicker is that Reid will still be able to block all amendments and immediately force a cloture vote without regular order, thereby forcing Republicans to filibuster.  This merely preserves the status quo problems while making it easier for Reid to get through the cloture.  Under the second option, the minority party would only be allowed to offer two amendments and they would be picked by the Republican leadership.  The majority also gets two amendments on every bill.  So the end result is simple: Reid gets his way on the filibuster while still blocking the ability of rank-and file members to offer amendments.

The second resolution, as part of the deal, would take 67 votes to pass because it is a permanent change to the Senate’s rules.  Among other things, this rules change would make it easier for a bill to be committed to a conference.  Remember the conference on ObamaCare and the fear that the conferees would completely rewrite the bill and steam roll it through Congress?  This new procedure may make that scenario easier for the leadership.  Under the rules, it takes three motions to go to conference and conservatives have used that tool to prevent conferees from loading up conference reports with unrelated matters or rewriting a bill.  The new rules change would consolidate the three motions into one and cuts down debate to only two hours.  This provision may be the most offensive, because it will lead to less transparency and the opportunity for a bill to lay in conference for a year or two while pressure builds to change it and ram it through the House and Senate.

If Reid and McConnell seek a return to regular order of passing bills on the floor and going to conference committee with the House, Reid must agree to A) only call up major legislation that has gone through committee and B) allow an open amendment process.  Then we can stop filibustering the motion to proceed.  That would be true filibuster reform.  If Democrats want to reform the Senate, they should tell Harry Reid to look in the mirror.  This is the case of the arsonist acting like the firefighter.

Some will contend that McConnell’s plan is the best option to avoid Reid pulling the nuclear option and getting rid of the filibuster altogether with 51 votes.  But under either plan, a feckless group of Republicans will empower Reid to steamroll individual senators and pass bad legislation.  The bottom line is the Reid is being rewarded for running the Senate completely like the House.

Republicans must vote no on both resolutions.  If Reid pulls the nuclear option, we should also use the nuclear option to create ‘point of orders,’ as we outlined last week.   Most of all, if he pulls the trigger, conservatives must be committed to shutting down the Senate by blocking all unanimous consent agreements. We have no other choice but to fight.

Plotting the End of America’s 2-Party System

January 13, 2013 in Abuse of Power, America's Collapse, Amnesty, Immigration, President Obama

While Barack Hussein Obama feigns to the right he rolls out and  passes to the left!

The feign to the right is gun control and the attack against our 2nd Amendment. The roll-out pass to the left is Amnesty. You have to keep your eyes on the ball lest QB Barack Hussein Obama once again scores a touchdown and with it the most prolific Democrat Super Bowl win in American political history.  An Amnesty Super Bowl championship that would dwarf almost 250 years of 2-party political interaction.  A championship that would go down in history as the win that changed the direction of American political discourse from an interactive 2-party political system into a corrupt 1- party political system. As we move closer to the Super Bowl the looming question is whether Republicans are up for the game or whether they will once again capitulate without much of a fight and thereby doom future generations to a Chicago-like corrupt and tyrannical political system.

President Obama is expected to lay out his plan in coming weeks, perhaps in his State of the Union address next month, administration officials said.

WASHINGTON — President Obama plans to push Congress to move quickly in the coming months on an ambitious overhaul of the immigration system that would include a path to citizenship for most of the 11 million illegal immigrants in the country, senior administration officials and lawmakers said last week.

Obama and Senate Democrats will propose the changes in one comprehensive bill, the officials said, resisting efforts by some Republicans to break the overhaul into smaller pieces — separately addressing young illegal immigrants, migrant farmworkers, or highly skilled foreigners — that might be easier for reluctant members of their party to accept.

Obama and Democrats will also oppose measures that do not allow immigrants who gain legal status to become US citizens one day, the officials said.

Even while Obama has been focused on fiscal negotiations and gun control, overhauling immigration remains a priority for him this year, White House officials said. Top officials have been quietly working on a broad proposal. Obama and lawmakers from both parties think that the early months of his second term offer the best prospects for passing substantial legislation on the issue.

Obama is expected to lay out his plan in coming weeks, perhaps in his State of the Union address next month, administration officials said. The White House will argue that its solution for illegal immigrants is not an amnesty, as many critics insist, because it would include fines, the payment of back taxes, and other hurdles for illegal immigrants who would obtain legal status, the officials said.

‘This is so important now to both parties that neither the fiscal cliff nor guns will get in the way.’

The president’s plan would also impose nationwide verification of legal status for all newly hired workers; add visas to relieve backlogs; allow highly skilled immigrants to stay; and create some form of guest worker program to bring in low-wage immigrants in the future.

A bipartisan group of senators has also been meeting to write a comprehensive bill, with the goal of introducing legislation as early as March and holding a vote in the Senate before August.

As a sign of the keen interest in starting action on immigration, White House officials and Democratic leaders in the Senate have been negotiating on which of them will first introduce a bill, Senate aides said.

‘‘This is so important now to both parties that neither the fiscal cliff nor guns will get in the way,’’ said Charles E. Schumer, a New York Democrat and a leader of the bipartisan discussions.

A similar attempt at bipartisan legislation early in Obama’s first term collapsed amid political divisions fueled by surging public anger about illegal immigration in many states. But both supporters and opponents say conditions are significantly different now.

In the November presidential election, Hispanics, the nation’s fastest-growing electorate, turned out in record numbers and cast 71 percent of their ballots for Obama. Many Hispanics said they were put off by Republicans’ harsh language against illegal immigrants.

After the election, a host of Republicans, starting with Speaker John Boehner, said it was time for the party to find a more positive, practical approach to immigration. Many party leaders say electoral demographics are compelling them to move beyond policies based on tough enforcement.

Supporters of comprehensive changes say that the elections were nothing less than a mandate, and that they are still optimistic that Obama is prepared to lead the fight.

‘‘Republicans must demonstrate a reasoned approach to start to rebuild their relationship with Latino voters,’’ said Clarissa Martinez de Castro, director of immigration policy at the National Council of La Raza, a Latino organization. ‘‘Democrats must demonstrate they can deliver on a promise.’’

Since the election, Obama has repeatedly pledged to act on immigration this year. In his weekly radio address Saturday, he referred to the urgency of fixing the immigration system, saying it was one of the ‘‘difficult missions’’ the country must take on.

Parallel to the White House effort, Schumer and GOP Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina have been meeting with a group of at least four others to write a bill.

Republicans who have participated include John McCain of Arizona, who has supported comprehensive legislation in the past; Jeff Flake of Arizona, newly elected to the Senate; and Mike Lee of Utah. Senator Marco Rubio of Florida participated in a meeting last month.

Democrats in the meetings include Richard Durbin of Illinois, the No.2 Senate Democrat; Robert Menendez of New Jersey, and Michael Bennet of Colorado. Basic tenets for the bill, Schumer said, were that it would be comprehensive and offer eventual citizenship.‘

Left Pushes Illegal Immigration “Reform” as Step to Permanent Democrat Control, Socialism

January 5, 2013 in Abuse of Power, Amnesty, Economic Deception, Fiscal Cliff, Welfare Fraud

The left’s purpose in America as in Massachusetts is to maintain a Permanent, Dependent Underclass that they can use to rig elections. Massachusetts has the 17th largest Illegal Alien population estimated at 87,000.  This past week  we learned via a Freedom of Information Request that we have 19,000 welfare recipients who are still receiving taxpayer dollars via direct deposit, even though we can’t locate them at their home addresses.

“[T]he net fiscal cost [per state] of immigration ranges from $11 billion to $22 billion per year, with most government expenditures on immigrants coming from state and local coffers, while most taxes paid by immigrants go to the federal treasury…”

“At the state and local level, an average of less than 5 percent of the public costs associated with illegal immigration is recouped through taxes collected from illegal aliens.”

Robert Rector and Christine Kim of the Heritage Foundation calculated that an average low-skilled immigrant household costs federal, local, and state governments $19,588 per year more than it pays in all.

According to the Center for Immigration Studies,  some Illegal Aliens also receive Federal Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) grants even if they have an invalid Social Security Number.  Also, Some Illegal Aliens  receive Federal Additional Child Tax Credt (ACTC) grants.

If we allow Amnesty for Illegal Aliens, they will very quickly overrun all of our Safety Net Systems and will accelerate our drop over the Fiscal Cliff  into a Greece like “Taxageddon”.

Left Pushes Illegal Immigration “Reform” as Step to Permanent Democrat Control, Socialism

The left, led by the US’s largest Marxist organization, Democratic Socialists of America, is about to start a huge push, starting with organized labor, to grant amnesty and citizenship to more than 12,000,000 illegal immigrants. They hope to make enough noise to allow their long time ally President Obama to claim a public mandate for an illegal immigrant amnesty.
Unions, before they were taken over by DSA, in 1995, were traditionally anti illegal immigration. Why the change? The reason is simple. Marxist led unions do not care about getting a better deal for their members. They care about achieving socialism. They understand that Latinos, which illegals mostly are, tend to vote overwhelmingly Democrat. The Marxists also have huge influence in the Democrat Party, and huge leverage over Democrat policy formation, through their locktight control of organized labor.

Therefore, giving illegals citizenship and voting rights could move America way to the left – forever.

Listen here to AFL-CIO boss Richard Trumka, a longtime DSA supporter, put on his best fake sincerity “Judas goat” tone, to seduce union members into support their own destruction. This is almost barf bucket material,  as this hard bitten union thug,  invokes patriotism and American values,  to sell his socialist “snake oil”.

Now watch an identified DSA member, SEIU VP Eliseo Medina , speaking at a 2009 progressive conference in Washington DC. Medina, the leading immigration activist in the country, reveals the real reason for his efforts … 8,000,000 more Democratic voters, and a “progressive majority for the forseeable future”.
