History: Vets tear down barricades as feds back down

Army of vets now marching on White House

Infowars.com
October 13, 2013

The corporate media is avoiding the significance of the latest developments in the “Million Vet March” in Washington, DC.

Vets have torn down “barrycades,” riot police have been dispatched, and snipers deployed, according to reports, as the number of protesters swell outside the White House.

Sarah Palin and Senator Ted Cruz, a Texas Republican, arrived to speak with the demonstrators. Police also responded.

“US Park Police have arrived in front of WH. Some in riot gear! Tea party/veteran protesters start booing,” wrote CNN’s Jim Acosta on Twitter.

The latest developments follow the closure of the World War II Monument following the supposed government shut down.

“Veterans this week were unwillingly pitted as pawns in this crisis.  We feel that this should never be the case,” the Million Vet March On Memorials website states. “This is why we will go to Congress after the budget crisis and ask for a bill to be introduced that would prevent any member of the government from closing our memorials down to any American, except for maintenance purposes.  In the meantime, we will have our March in Washington DC on October 13th!  Our veterans deserve that!”

Scads of microblog posts on Twitter are covering the latest developments:

Oh Gawd, Here We Go Again!

January 18, 2013 in LAST OUNCE OF COURAGE, Liars, MA State and Local Pension Liability, Obama-Nomics

Another MA Governor is running for President and once again hopes to use  MA as a stepping stone. Deval like his good friend Barack Hussein Obama, who he visits frequently at the White House, is also a wealth redistribution Socialist.MA is the 4th highest taxed state in America and in the last decade folks voted with their feet and left the state in droves. Consequently we lost 1 Congressional seat.

Deval’s new Tax and Spend plan along with Obamacare, Increased Federal Spending and our MA structural corruption, is enough to make anyone want to exit MA. Our last shot at stopping this state’s 1-party corrupt machine is to elect a GOP Party Chairman on January 31, that can develop alternative political candidates that can challenge the outrageous confiscation of our hard earned treasure. Rick_IIIAs the following Blog post indicates,  there is a growing consensus that Rick Green is the man to turn around the  MassGOP and to champion Fiscal Responsibility,  Lower Taxes, smaller/less intrusive government and respect for personal freedom. YOU must contact your State Committeeman and State Committeewoman and urge them to vote for Rick Green.  You can also read more about Rick at http://www.rickgreenma.com/   Repost Courtesy of Rabid Republican Blog

I went to the MassGOP Chair forum in Lexington tonight.  I went to watch, to listen and to judge.Lexington Forum 17 Jan 13 I didn’t stay for the end – I didn’t need to.  OK, so I’m a judgmental old bastard, – combat and command will do that to a man. For better or worse, I now render judgment: I sincerely wish I could report that we have three sterling candidates.  We don’t.  We have just ONE. David D’Arcangelo is a good enough fellow from Malden – where he is a city counselor.  To his credit his opening salvo stressed the need for an urban strategy – and Republicans better listen to him on that. But, he makes excuses for where we lost races – without really addressing the obvious shortfalls, – and he in running on his ability to compromise.  Damnit – we’re not going to win the respect of independents until we stop compromising – and stand for Republican principles. Kristen Hughes is a long-term Merrimac Street volunteer and insider, once sang for Disney, was a key part of Scott Brown’s losing campaign, and was just elected to Quincy’s City Counsel. Her shortfalls are several – first and foremost she is almost a clone of Party Chair Barbie.  She does not command respect, and still has a little girl voice and giggle.  John Walsh will eat her alive. Her opening salvo – and first several answers were like cliché soup – and she used a lot of them. My eyeballs finally rolled when she said she’d heal the divides within our party with a ‘Unity Summit’.   OMG Kristen WTF do you think those quarterly MassGOP Committee meetings are supposed to be? So what are you going to do – toss some Pixie Dust and wave your magic wand?  By that point folks, – I was visualizing both John Walsh and Deval Patrick tossing her back and forth like a rag doll – or a Barbie Doll. A logistical issue she cannot overcome is being a brand new mother.  There is no way she can repair and rebuild our shattered party while caring for an infant.  Any feminist who says otherwise hasn’t given birth, – or gave her baby up for adoption.

THE GOOD NEWS:

I’d heard good stuff about Rick Green.  He turns out to be far better than I’d anticipated.  He has built his business from nothing to a $74 million / yearenterprise employing over 100 people.  That says a lot right there. Here’s the BEST PART!  He instinctively and easily talks like a Republican! He has a state-wide plan, – something that Nassour and Runty Maginn never did.  He knows we need to re-establish our brand! He’s willing to serve a minimum of 6 years [3 terms] – AND promises to leave a trained crew in place when he departs.  At THAT point my judgmental old mind was made up – he’s not in it for personal glory – he’s in it for his Country and his kids! He’s the only natural leader in the race.

OTHER NOTES:

Packed Hall right sideHughes brought with her a large Scott Brown cheering section.  To her this is a campaign – winning is important – and the fingers of Scott Brown are very visible. I hope to GOD we don’t become a Scott Brown party, – or we’ll be under 10% by the end of the year. I confronted Vice-Chair Momma Kangas again about the MassGOP’s lame website, and what did the MassGOP have to say about either Obama’s gun-grabbing or Deval’s gun-grabbing and insane budget – or his plan to make Heffernan a judge. I got a smart-assed answer “I’m the Vice-Chair, – I’m in charge of the vice!”  Jeanne, I told you I’d quote you if you didn’t give a thoughtful response. Muffy was there.  Her fleeting 10 seconds on national TV have come and gone – nobody is cozying up to her. Packed HallMy state committeeman Brian Burke,…wasn’t there.  No surprise. There was a goodly under-30 crowd.  Maybe there’s hope. The two state committee old-timers Helen and Sandy managed to pull the usual trick – holding the event in a room too small [they said they couldn’t get a school gym or auditorium?] – so the room was stuffed beyond what the Lexington FD would have allowed – it they’d seen it. – – – – – – If you live in Massachusetts – you better be on the horn to your twoCommittee Critters – and have them vote for Rick Green.  Otherwise it will be more of the same frustration and heartbreak, and more lame excuses after each election.

An Election Message from Glenn Beck

November 3, 2012 in 2012 Election, Glenn Beck, LAST OUNCE OF COURAGE

November 03, 2012

Hello America,

We are three days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America, again.

On Tuesday, each one of us will have the opportunity to take part in our most treasured right as Americans. We will be able to walk into that voting booth, close the curtain, and cast our ballot not just for the man who will lead us for the next four years, but also for the direction we want to take our country for the next hundred years. Will we choose to continue on the road we have been down for most of the past century, a path that has led to bigger government, more dependence, and less personal responsibility? Or is it time to turn things around and head in a direction that finds solution in individuals, faith and family?
In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, it’s easy to throw your hands up in the air and say, “Yes, we clearly need a big federal government! We need FEMA! We need President Obama to swoop in and save the day! Please, help us!” Rarely, however, is the easy thing to do the same as the right thing to do. You will receive pressure from your liberal neighbors and the mainstream media as they hammer the message of big government. They’ll try and convince you you’re selfish, racist, and hateful because you don’t believe in turning to the federal government for help. They don’t understand that we believe that individuals can and will be the people on the ground leading the way in helping our friends and neighbors.

Just look at some of the stories coming out in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy to see where the progressive mentality leads us. In New York City, the Heath Department shut down a Chinese restaurant that was trying to feed people without food or electricity. Devastated areas like Staten Island and Coney Island are ignored by the Red Cross. Utility workers all the way from Alabama are turned away because they aren’t members of a union. In the height of insanity, Mayor Bloomberg was encouraging the New York Marathon to run as planned tomorrow while many areas are still without power and available resources decline. It was only after days of public pressure that he finally changed his mind.

President Obama says that we need to move forward. They say that we need to keep making progress. That government will be the key to turning around the economy. The truth is that we cannot continue down this path. But we know of a different way.

Politicians on both sides of the aisle believe they can make a better decision than you. And that is going to stop.  Because progress was not made by politicians. Real progress is made by the average people. As the radio theme song says — YOU will be the key.

We must begin a new chapter of American exceptionalism. A new century of American exploration and discovery. We won’t get it from one political party. One politician. One dreamer. We will get it when we rely on ourselves. On the facts. On the truth. And most importantly when we rely on God.

I know we face difficult choices. So do you. America is in trouble financially, people have gone astray, we have a weak economy, a weak dollar. We have put our troops in harm’s way too many times, on missions that don’t always make sense. And despite our military power, we are not feared, not respected, and not honored.

But you know what? I’m not afraid. And neither are you.

On Tuesday, I want you to go to the polls and vote for the principles and values that represent the America that you want to live in. One where small business drives the engine of America. One where success is celebrated, not vilified. One where faith and family shape the choices we make in our daily lives. One where people understand personal responsibility, and neighbors help their neighbors in times of crisis.

Even more importantly, make sure that your neighbors and like-minded friends are going out and voting. Drive your schlub friend to the polls if you have to. This election must be a mandate. We need to stand together and declare what we believe in. We can’t afford another election going to the Supreme Court. There shouldn’t be a question on where our country will be headed on Wednesday morning. You need to go out and do your part.

And don’t forget, it’s not too late to make one final push. Don’t be afraid to talk to your friends and neighbors about this election. Don’t let anyone tell you you’re wrong for standing up for small government. If you’re a faith leader, don’t let the government tell you that you can’t speak about the future of our country to your congregation. This is the most crucial election of our lifetime and we all need to do whatever we can to make sure that principles and values prevail.

America must return to her glory, be strong and fight for freedom. Not just with our might. But with our ideas. Our energy. Our freedom. I declare firm reliance in divine Providence.

This is your moment. This is America’s moment. It’s time to stand up and stand together.

It’s time to restore America.

Laus Deo,

America is Under Siege – We Need to Elect Constitutional Patriots Like Allen West

Here in MA there is a myth that in order to be elected into office one needs to embrace Progressive Ideology.  Our state is noted for its social welfare generosity which  has become a Progressive magnet for illegal Aliens and welfare recipients from across the region. A system that was originally designed in response  families that believed in the Protestant work ethic but who had their bread winner disabled through no fault of their own.  Recently, Lloyd Marcus wrote about America and Divine Intervention in Trevor Loudon’s NoisyRoom blog. It is his perception of how our society has evolved into a Social-Economic-Political “gimme Society”, where entitlements instead of  principle would appears to be our new voting mantra.

He  writes that, “Some pundits say Obama has so successfully transformed America into a “gimme society” that the food stamp president will win re-election in a landslide. Other political wizards say the bloom is off the rose. A majority of Americans realize that Obama is a far left, radical, socialist/progressive, anti-American, lawless dictator. His reign of terror will end come November. Arguments are strong supporting both scenarios.”

Whether one believes the former or latter political prognostication about the presidential race, one fact is abundantly clear.  Recent polls indicate that Americans of all persuasions have little to no faith in Congress.  In April,  “Just one in 10 Americans approves of the job Congress is doing, according to a Gallup poll released Tuesday, tying the branch’s lowest approval rating in 38 years.”

As we look to fill our seats in State and National offices this fall,  we  suggest that  you look to a new Role Model for Massachusetts, namely Allen West. As you will see from the following video, he is a man of Principle,  Character and Caring.  We need to evolve our Senators and Representatives to the Allen West model and away from the  Progressive’s transformed  “gimme society” model.
